FORD GUM DEBUTS POP-ITZ™ —
THE PUSH BUTTON BUBBLE GUM DINOSAUR DISPENSER

AKRON, NY — Ford Gum & Machine Company, Inc., leading manufacturer and distributor of premium gum and confectionery products has introduced its new lineup of ‘Pop-itz’ push button refillable bubble gum dispensers. According to the company, this is the first in a series of Pop-itz dispensers that will be based on specific or seasonal/holiday themes. The initial Pop-itz lineup features a life-like dinosaur head on the top of each dispenser and holds six delicious standard size gumballs in assorted flavors. When the push button on the dispenser is depressed one piece of bubble gum emerges through the mouth of the dinosaur. Pop-itz currently features three different dinosaur heads, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor.

"Kids love dinosaurs and they love bubble gum," says Steve Gold, Ford Gum’s Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. "That’s why we created Pop-itz ‘dinosaur’ dispensers. They are designed to generate immediate impulse sales for convenience, grocery, drug, mass merchandisers, and discount store cashier displays. It really gives retailers and kids another option in great tasting, value-priced bubble gum in fun, convenient packaging that is perfect for shelf and single-piece checkout sales."

Pop-itz dispensers stands 6 1/4 inches tall and come packed 12 to a case in a clear hanging clamshell. A 12-count counter display is also available. All packaging features individual printed UPC codes for fast, easy counter checkout. Suggested retail price is $1.99.
