Military Energy Gum became the first gum ever to earn NSF Certified for Sport® certification, a milestone NSF and Ford Gum announced in March 2026. The certification verified MEG against more than 295 athletic banned substances and contaminant thresholds, building on the gum's two-decade history as a Military Fatigue Relief Research Program product distributed to troops worldwide.

Aaron Judge became the first MLB player featured on a pouch of Big League Chew, with his likeness appearing on the Grand Slam Grape flavor at retailers including Dick's Sporting Goods and Costco starting July 2025. A portion of sales benefits Judge's All Rise Foundation.

Big League Chew celebrated production of its one billionth pouch at Ford Gum's Akron, NY plant. Inventor Rob Nelson marked the milestone with an appearance on MLB Network's MLB Central, bringing the billionth pouch on set. He and the hosts discussed the brand's origins and traded childhood memories of the gum, and Nelson reflected on how far it had come since his bullpen days as a minor leaguer over 40 years earlier.

USA Baseball announced a partnership with Big League Chew, naming it the Official Bubble Gum of the organization. The deal includes USA Baseball branding on Big League Chew packaging, dugout placement at USA Baseball events, social content with top youth talent, and annual product supply to event participants and national team athletes.
